Vorsprung GLT™ TruSeal PCV Valve Diaphragm Upgrade – Audi 3.2L & 3.6L - 3.0T PCV Relocation Upgrade

The last PCV diaphragm you will ever need to install.

The factory PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) diaphragm on Audi 3.2L and 3.6L engines is notorious for failing. When it does, the standard dealership solution is to force you to buy an entirely new valve cover assembly, a massively expensive and unnecessary repair. At Vorsprung Autowerk, we don't just replicate factory parts to temporarily patch the problem; we engineer out the flaws so you only have to fix it once.

The Problem: The "Brittle Tear" Failure

The OEM PCV diaphragm lives in a harsh environment, subjected to constant rapid movement, extreme engine heat, and highly corrosive oil and fuel vapors. Factory diaphragms are manufactured from standard commercial-grade rubber that inevitably degrades. As it ages, and especially when exposed to cold temperatures, the factory rubber hardens, becomes brittle, and eventually tears.

When this membrane ruptures, it creates a massive internal vacuum leak. The results are immediate: a high-pitched whistling sound from the engine bay, violent rough idling, stalling, and a dashboard lit up with Check Engine Light (CEL) codes (such as P0171, P0507, or P2279).

The Solution: Viton™ GLT Technology

A diaphragm’s sole job is to flex. If it loses its elasticity, it fails. We have upgraded the industry standard by manufacturing our replacement diaphragms exclusively from Viton™ GLT, a premium aerospace-grade fluoroelastomer designed to solve the fatal shortcomings of standard rubber.

Unlike standard FKM, which becomes stiff and brittle at -4°F (-20°C), the Vorsprung GLT™ diaphragm remains fully flexible, elastic, and responsive down to -40°F (-40°C). Whether you are dealing with a sub-zero cold start in the dead of winter or sitting in stop-and-go summer traffic, this membrane will continually regulate crankcase pressure without hardening or tearing.

Engineered for Lifetime Performance

We spec our GLT material to provide the perfect balance of tensile strength and extreme flexibility. It possesses total immunity to synthetic engine oils, blow-by gases, and fuel vapors that eat away at factory rubber. By replacing just the failed diaphragm with our aerospace-grade upgrade, you save hundreds of dollars over a new valve cover while permanently bulletproofing your PCV system.

Symptoms Resolved:

  • High-pitched whistling or howling noise from the valve cover

  • Rough, erratic, or surging idle

  • Excessive vacuum pulling on the oil cap (hard to remove while running)

  • System Too Lean (P0171) or Idle Control System RPM Higher than Expected (P0507) codes

  • Random engine misfires due to unmetered air

Key Specifications

  • Material: Genuine Chemours Viton™ GLT (Low-Temperature FKM)
  • OEM Matched: Molds made from the original OEM part for an exact fit
  • Temperature Range: -40°F to +400°F (-40°C to +204°C)
  • Chemical Resistance: 100% immune to synthetic engine oils, fuel vapors, and crankcase acids.
  • Lifespan: Engineered to outlast factory seals by 2-5x (Estimated 15+ years)
  • Cost-Effective: Replaces just the failed diaphragm, eliminating the need to buy a complete OEM valve cover assembly.

Why settle for a replacement that will just fail again, when you can have an upgrade? Seal it for life with Vorsprung.
