Restore the control in your Mustang’s rear suspension without replacing the entire lower control arm assembly.
The Granatelli GM-CABSHKIT-3 Rear Lower Control Arm Bushing Rebuild Kit is designed for compatible 1979–2004 Ford Mustang rear lower control-arm applications and provides the polyurethane bushings and sleeves needed to refresh worn suspension pivot points.
Replacing worn bushings helps reduce unwanted control-arm movement, improve rear suspension stability and maintain more consistent suspension geometry during acceleration, cornering and aggressive driving.
GRANATELLI SUSPENSION PERFORMANCE
REBUILD YOUR LOWER CONTROL ARMS. RESTORE THE RESPONSE.
Performance polyurethane helps reduce unwanted suspension deflection so the rear control arms can work more consistently under load.
|
LESS DEFLECTION
Polyurethane helps reduce unwanted movement compared with soft or worn rubber bushings.
|
BETTER CONTROL
Helps keep the rear suspension more stable during acceleration and cornering.
|
LOWERS ONLY
Purpose-built rebuild kit for compatible rear lower control-arm applications.
|
Important: GM-CABSHKIT-3 is a rear lower control arm bushing rebuild kit only. It is not the complete upper-and-lower rebuild kit. If you need bushings for both the upper and lower rear control arms, verify the correct Granatelli rebuild kit before ordering.
Why Rebuild Your Rear Lower Control Arm Bushings?
Rear lower control-arm bushings absorb substantial loads during launches, acceleration, braking and cornering. As the bushings wear, they can allow the control arm to move more than intended, reducing suspension consistency and making the rear of the car feel less controlled.
Granatelli polyurethane replacement bushings provide a firmer pivot point than soft factory-style rubber, helping restore more predictable suspension movement and improved rear-end stability.

Common Mustang Applications
Built for Street & Performance Mustangs
| Street Performance | Refreshes worn suspension pivot points while maintaining a performance-oriented level of compliance. |
| Drag Racing | Helps reduce unwanted lower control-arm movement during hard launches and acceleration. |
| Cornering | Reduced bushing deflection helps maintain more consistent rear suspension geometry. |
| Maintenance / Rebuild | Ideal when existing polyurethane bushings are worn but the rear lower control-arm assemblies are still serviceable. |
Important Fitment Notice: GM-CABSHKIT-3 is a rear lower control arm bushing rebuild kit only for compatible 1979–2004 Ford Mustang applications. Aftermarket control-arm dimensions can vary, so compare the bushing and sleeve dimensions listed above with your existing components before ordering.
Polyurethane Performance Note: Polyurethane bushings are firmer than factory-style rubber. This reduced compliance improves suspension control but may transmit slightly more road feel or noise into the vehicle compared with soft OEM rubber bushings.
