High intake air temperatures are one of the biggest performance killers on the supercharged 5.5L AMG platform. During hot weather, repeated pulls, or spirited driving, the factory cooling system can quickly become heat-soaked, forcing the ECU to pull timing and reduce power.

The PLM Power Driven Heat Exchanger Cooling Kit is engineered to solve that problem by dramatically improving charge-air cooling capacity. By lowering intake air temperatures, your AMG can maintain stronger, more consistent horsepower and throttle response when it matters most.

This upgraded system mounts in the factory location and uses a non-epoxied furnace-brazed core for superior durability and thermal efficiency. CNC-machined aluminum necks and precision welding ensure excellent reliability and leak-free performance even under demanding conditions.

To further enhance cooling performance, this complete package includes a high-flow Johnson CM30 pump to increase coolant circulation and Red Line Water Wetter to improve heat transfer. Together, these components help resist heat soak and keep temperatures stable during aggressive use.

Installation Notes

The supplied brackets are designed for direct bolt-on installation to the E55. CLS55 and SL55 models require drilling two additional holes in the brackets. The vehicle itself does not require modification.

On SL55 applications, one hose connection is located on the driver side and a longer hose is required. Please note this with your order and the correct hose will be provided.
