The Alpha Lite rod is made for lower horsepower applications were maximum effort is not required. Alpha Rods are forged from select 4340 chromoly steel and feature a straight H-beam design, resulting in the ultimate strength-to-weight ratio. The D Series Lite Rods were designed for the Naturally Aspirated or Low Boost Turbo build and are rated to withstand up to 450+ hp all while maintaining the weight reduction.
Skunk2 Alpha Series Rods feature an H-Beam design that is precision CNC machined from high-strength aircraft-grade 4340 alloy steel forgings that are then heat treated, tempered, and shot peen stress relieved. Skunk2 Alpha rods come with bronze wrist pin bushings and feature forced pin oiling. Each rod incorporates ARP2000 fasteners rated at over 220,000psi.
