Application-Specific SMG LT2 Intake Manifold Packages

The genuine GM LT2 intake manifold delivers excellent airflow potential with an OEM appearance. SMG offers the manifold in application-specific configurations so the work performed in-house matches the vehicle instead of leaving the installer with unnecessary fittings or modifications.

Select the vehicle application first, then select the desired stage. Stage pricing is the same across Camaro, truck/SUV and C8 applications, but the preparation and included installation components differ.

Application Options

Stock / Unmodified

• Genuine GM LT2 intake manifold exactly as supplied
• No porting, underside-rib modification, added vacuum fitting or MAP extension
• Best for customers handling all application-specific work themselves
• Available only as the Stock stage

Camaro SS/LT1

• For 2016–2024 Camaro SS and 2019–2024 Camaro LT1 applications
• Underside ribbing modified for compatible LT1-style high-pressure fuel-pump clearance
• Rear brake-booster vacuum quick-connect added by SMG
• MAP sensor extension harness included with Stages 1–3

2014+ LTx Truck/SUV 5.3L or 6.2L

• For 2014+ GM trucks and SUVs equipped with Gen V LTx 5.3L or 6.2L engines
• Prepared for compatible factory-height high-pressure fuel-pump clearance
• No rear brake-booster vacuum port is added
• MAP sensor extension harness included with Stages 1–3

These trucks and SUVs use an electric vacuum pump for brake assist rather than intake-manifold vacuum. Selecting the truck/SUV application tells SMG to build the manifold without the Camaro brake-booster fitting, eliminating the need to cap an unused port.

2020+ C8 Corvette

• Native LT2 application offered in Stages 1–3
• Porting and airflow preparation only
• Factory underside ribbing remains intact
• No brake-booster vacuum fitting is added
• No MAP extension harness is included or required

Stage Options

Stage 1 — Cleanup and Application Preparation

• Snout and runner cleanup to remove casting flash and improve transitions
• Application-specific preparation described above
• Designed for use with the factory throttle body

Stage 2 — Ported Performance

• Includes the applicable Stage 1 preparation
• Runner and snout port matching
• Prepared for a larger throttle body such as the GM ZR1 95 mm unit
• Throttle body and billet adapter sold separately

Stage 3 — Full Port and 95 mm Package

• Includes the applicable Stage 2 preparation
• Complete hand-porting of the runners and snout
• New genuine GM ZR1 95 mm throttle body included
• Billet 95 mm throttle-body adapter included
• Two adapter gaskets included

Critical High-Pressure Fuel-Pump Warning

The LT2 intake manifold does not clear the taller LT4 high-pressure fuel pump. This includes Camaro ZL1 applications and naturally aspirated 5.3L or 6.2L truck/SUV combinations that have been upgraded to the popular LT4 HPFP. Verify the installed high-pressure fuel pump before ordering.

Fitment Exclusions

• Does not fit Camaro ZL1 or other LT4-HPFP applications
• Does not fit C7 Corvette applications because of cowl interference
• Truck/SUV fitment is limited to 2014+ Gen V LTx 5.3L and 6.2L applications with a compatible factory-height HPFP

Sealing Notes for Stage 2 and Stage 3

Porting for the larger throttle-body combination removes the original throttle-body O-ring sealing surface. RTV sealant is required between the intake and billet adapter. Apply sealant to the intake sealing rim and adapter gasket surface, assemble the parts and allow the sealant to cure before operation. RTV is sold separately.

Build Time and Shipping

These packages are prepared to order. Allow approximately 15–21 business days, depending on stage, current production queue and component availability. Expedited shipping changes transit time after completion; it does not shorten the in-house build process.

Stage 3 packages may ship in two boxes. The throttle body, adapter, harness and related components can arrive separately from the completed ported manifold.
