Ethernet Adapter for Starlink Gen 2
Add a standard RJ45 Ethernet connection to a Starlink Standard Actuated / Gen 2 system for computers, TVs, network switches, security systems and third-party routers that benefit from a stable wired network connection.
Add RJ45 to Starlink Gen 2
Adds the Ethernet connection missing from the standard Gen 2 Starlink router, allowing compatible wired network devices to connect through a standard RJ45 interface.
Inline Plug-and-Play Design
Installs inline between the Gen 2 Starlink dish cable and router while providing a dedicated Ethernet output without software drivers or USB adapters.
Built for Wired Networking
Ideal for devices where a physical Ethernet connection is preferred over Wi-Fi, including desktop PCs, televisions, network switches, routers and security equipment.
Why Add Ethernet to Starlink Gen 2?
Connect an Ethernet-capable desktop, workstation or other network device without relying entirely on the wireless signal from the Starlink router.
Smart TVs, game consoles and streaming hardware with Ethernet can be connected directly or through a network switch.
Need more than one wired device? Connect a compatible Ethernet switch to the adapter to expand the single RJ45 connection into multiple LAN ports.
Connect the WAN port of a compatible third-party router when you want to use your own Wi-Fi, firewall or network-management hardware.
A wired network path can be useful for security cameras, VoIP phones, printers and other equipment located within reach of your Ethernet network.
Specifically for Starlink Gen 2
This adapter is designed for the Starlink Standard Actuated / V2 rectangular-dish system using the Gen 2 router. It should not be treated as a universal adapter for Starlink Mini, current Standard / Gen 3, Enterprise or other Starlink hardware that uses different connectors.
Built Around the Gen 2 Starlink Connection
Provides the familiar wired Ethernet interface used by computers, network switches, routers and many other networking devices.
Dedicated connectors integrate with the proprietary Gen 2 Starlink cable path between the dish and router.
The current RYVAXO specification lists an integrated cable length of approximately 0.92 meters / 3 feet.
Current product imagery shows a PVC outer jacket, shielding layer and multi-conductor internal cable construction.
Current RYVAXO product text lists support for up to Gigabit-class Ethernet. Actual internet throughput is not guaranteed by the adapter and depends on Starlink service conditions, network equipment, cabling, local traffic and connected-device capability.
Simple Inline Installation
Disconnect power from the Gen 2 Starlink router before disconnecting or reconnecting the dish cable.
Remove the Gen 2 Starlink dish cable from the router connection carefully.
Connect the Starlink dish cable to the matching port on the Ethernet Adapter.
Connect the adapter's integrated Starlink cable/interface to the Gen 2 router so the dish-to-router connection is restored.
Plug a standard Ethernet cable into the RJ45 port and connect the other end to your PC, switch, TV, router WAN port or other compatible network device.
Power the Starlink system back on and allow the router and dish to reconnect before testing Ethernet connectivity.
Connect the third-party router's WAN port to the Ethernet Adapter. If you want that router to replace the Starlink Gen 2 router's routing and Wi-Fi functions, enable Bypass Mode in the Starlink App.
A network switch can be connected to the adapter when you need additional wired LAN ports. Bypass Mode is not required simply to add ordinary wired devices through a switch.

Quick Answers
Which Starlink kit is this adapter for? +
It is designed for the Starlink Standard Actuated / V2 / Gen 2 rectangular-dish system using the Gen 2 router.
Why does Starlink Gen 2 need an Ethernet adapter? +
The standard Gen 2 router does not include a built-in RJ45 LAN port. The adapter adds that physical Ethernet connection.
Does it work with Starlink Mini? +
No. Starlink Mini uses a different Ethernet connection architecture and this Gen 2 adapter should not be ordered for Mini.
Does it work with the newer Starlink Standard / Gen 3 system? +
No. This adapter is specifically designed for the Gen 2 Standard Actuated connection system.
Can I connect a computer directly? +
Yes. Connect a standard Ethernet cable between the adapter's RJ45 port and the computer's Ethernet interface.
Can I connect a network switch? +
Yes. A compatible network switch can be connected to the RJ45 output when multiple wired LAN ports are needed.
Do I need Bypass Mode to use a network switch? +
No. Bypass Mode is not required simply to add ordinary wired network devices through a switch.
Can I use my own Wi-Fi router? +
Yes. Connect the WAN port of a compatible third-party router to the Ethernet Adapter.
When should I enable Starlink Bypass Mode? +
Enable Bypass Mode when you want your third-party router to replace the Gen 2 router's routing and Wi-Fi functions. The Starlink router's Wi-Fi is disabled while Bypass Mode is active.
How do I turn Bypass Mode off? +
Starlink currently requires a factory reset of the router to exit Bypass Mode and restore its normal Wi-Fi functions.
Does the Ethernet adapter guarantee faster internet than Wi-Fi? +
No. Ethernet provides a physical wired network path and can avoid local Wi-Fi interference, but actual Starlink internet performance still depends on satellite conditions, service congestion, obstructions and your network hardware.
Does it need drivers or software? +
No software driver is required for normal wired Ethernet use.
Does the adapter need its own wall power supply? +
No separate AC wall adapter is required for the Ethernet Adapter itself. It installs inline in the Gen 2 Starlink system.
How long is the integrated cable? +
Current RYVAXO specifications list an approximate cable length of 0.92 meters / 3 feet.
