The PoE Port Uses Starlink-Specific Passive Power

Current pin assignment is +V on pins 1, 2, 3 and 6, and -V on pins 4, 5, 7 and 8. Do not connect ordinary non-compatible Ethernet equipment directly to the powered SPX/PoE port.

Confirm the Starlink Terminal Before Installation

Starlink terminal compatibility chart for Gen 3 PoE injector
1. Verify Starlink Standard

This converter is currently specified for the Starlink Standard terminal commonly identified as Gen 3 / Standard with the kickstand-style dish.

2. Size the DC Supply Correctly

The current manufacturer requires a DC 9–36V source capable of supplying at least 200W. Cable gauge, fuse size and connection hardware must be appropriate for the actual system current.

3. Connect Positive, Negative & Ground

Connect the 3-pin input only after confirming supply polarity and proper circuit protection.

4. Connect the Gen 3 Dish

Connect the compatible Starlink Standard cable to the dedicated SPX PoE port.

5. Connect Your Network

Use the LAN port for a compatible router or Ethernet device. Verify the downstream router's separate power requirements before installation.

6. Test Before Permanent Mounting

Verify Starlink startup, network connectivity and stable DC operation before permanently securing the converter.

Not Compatible with Every Starlink Terminal

Current compatibility imagery specifically excludes Standard Actuated, High Performance and Flat High Performance terminals. It should not be purchased simply because a dish is described generically as “Starlink.”

Do Not Assume a Cigarette-Lighter Socket Can Supply It

The manufacturer specifies a minimum 200W input supply. Many vehicle accessory sockets and their wiring are rated below the current required for a 200W DC load. Verify the source, fuse and wiring capacity before connecting this unit.

Quick Answers

Is this still the old 150W 2-in-1 product? +

No. The URL still contains the old 150W 2-in-1 slug, but the current live product has been replaced by a 200W 5-in-1 Starlink Gen 3 PoE injector.

Does it provide 200W directly to the Starlink dish? +

The complete converter is rated as a 200W-class unit, but the detailed Starlink SPX output specification is 57V / 3A Max, or approximately 171W nominal maximum.

Which Starlink terminal does it fit? +

Current compatibility is specifically listed for Starlink Standard Gen 3.

Does it fit Starlink High Performance? +

No. High Performance and Flat High Performance terminals are specifically shown as incompatible.

Does it fit Standard Actuated? +

No. Current manufacturer compatibility imagery specifically excludes Standard Actuated.

Can I power it from a 12V battery? +

12V falls within the published 9–36V input range, but the power source, wiring and fuse must be capable of supporting the manufacturer's minimum 200W input requirement.

Can I power it from a 24V battery system? +

Yes, 24V is within the published 9–36V input range when connected through a properly sized and protected DC circuit.

Can I plug it into a normal car cigarette-lighter socket? +

Do not assume so. The unit requires a DC supply capable of at least 200W, which may exceed the rating of many vehicle accessory sockets and their wiring.

Does it have Gigabit Ethernet? +

Yes. The LAN interface is specified at 10/100/1000Mbps.

Can the USB-A and USB-C ports charge other devices? +

Yes. Current ratings are up to 12V / 3A for USB-A and 5V / 3A for USB-C. Compatibility still depends on the connected device's charging requirements.

Can every output deliver its maximum rating at the same time? +

The current source publishes individual maximum port ratings but does not provide a complete simultaneous-output power allocation table. This page therefore does not guarantee every port can sustain its individual maximum at the same time.

Can I connect a normal computer directly to the powered PoE port? +

No. The powered SPX port uses a Starlink-specific passive 57V pin configuration. Use the separate LAN port for normal compatible Ethernet networking equipment.

Does this automatically include a Wi-Fi router? +

No Wi-Fi router is identified as part of the current injector itself. The integrated LAN port provides Ethernet connectivity; any separate router must be compatible and powered appropriately.

Does it have electrical protection? +

Current specifications list ±8kV differential surge protection plus ±8kV contact and ±15kV air ESD protection.

Is the converter waterproof? +

No verified IP waterproof rating is currently published. Install the converter in a dry, ventilated and protected electrical location rather than exposing it directly to water.

How large is the unit? +

Current product imagery lists approximately 120 × 92 × 35 mm (4.72 × 3.62 × 1.37 inches).
